Yet another outstanding achievement by a student of the Department! Third-semester student Rajdeep Chatterjee, who works as the Staff Correspondent (Kolkata Bureau) for Calcalling TV and Headlines Tripura, a popular Bengali satellite news channel of Northeast India, covered the recently held Uttar Pradesh elections live from Varanasi on March 6 and 7. In addition, he also did ground zero reporting from Kanpur, Prayagraj and Noida. His analysis on UP elections had also simultaneously appeared in Tripura Bhabisyat, a leading Bengali daily from Tripura.
Rajdeep’s journalistic venture started with the television channel while he was in the second semester. The Department congratulates him and wishes him all the best for even greater journalistic endeavours in the days to come.
